Travel to Montezuma Costa Rica!

The fastest and easiest way to travel to Montezuma Costa Rica is by domestic flight. Sansa or Nature Airlines, both offer great flights to our local airport in Tambor. From Tambor it is a 30 minute taxi ride to Montezuma. The flight from San Jose to Tambor is 25 minutes, which significantly reduces the time to get here. By car, the trip can take 4-5 hours including the ferry. There are a number of transportation options, but the flight is by far the easiest.Travel to Costa Rica

The flight into Tambor also offers some incredible views of the countryside and, once you get closer to Tambor, of the ocean and islands. You’ll get a great photo opportunity of Tortuga Island! This is definitely a fun option for transportation.

Destination Wedding Ideas

This past weekend, we had a beautiful destination beach wedding planned. Unfortunately, we got a huge rain storm come through and we had to completely change the plan last minute. We moved the ceremony to an indoor area above the restaurant that is used as our yoga studio. It wasn’t what the couple had planned on, but we transformed the space into a beautiful ceremony. What resulted was a new destination wedding opportunity to offer to our guests.

Family Vacation to Costa Rica

Costa Rica is an excellent place to take a family vacation, especially during the summer months when the kids are out of school. A family vacation to Costa Rica offers many activities for all ages. Traveling during the summer months (June, July and August) also means that Costa Rica will not be as crowded due to the low season in tourism. Not only does this mean that beaches, restaurants, tours and hotels will be less crowded, it also means that travel will be more affordable. Most hotels offer “green season rates” and for family travel these are great to take advantage of.

Fishing in Costa Rica

Yesterday was an exciting day in front of Ylang Ylang. There were many fish right out front, so some of the local fisherman ran out to our beach to do some fishing. The local way of fishing in Costa Rica, is with the fishing line looped around and held on by hand. Most do not use fishing poles.

There were also a number of little sardines that washed up on the beach making for perfect bait for the fishermen to use. The local fishermen climbed up on the rocks and used the sardines as bait. They pulled out a number of different types of fish including Jack Crevalle and Pacific Mackerel.

Even our staff got in on the fun! A number of them collected sardines to use for their own fishing later and had some fun in the process!
