If you’re looking for a place to completely disconnect from your hectic, busy life and reconnect with nature, warmth and fresh air, look no further. The grounds of Ylang Ylang Beach Resort offer all that you need to completely relax. Begin your beach vacation by being surrounded by these beautiful lush gardens. Then follow our three relaxation techniques, which are sure to leave you feeling happy, refreshed and relaxed.
Relaxation technique number 1: Hammocks. Can you think of anything better than stumbling upon a hammock that is already put up between two palm trees right at the edge of a white sand beach? Ylang Ylang has a number of hammocks hanging up all throughout the property that are available to our guests. Take a nap, bring a book, or just watch and listen to the sound of the ocean, but most importantly, relax.
Relaxation technique number 2: Yoga. If you’re job requires to sit in a chair most of the day, yoga is the best cure. Not only is yoga good for your body, it also helps to relax the mind. Yoga at Ylang Ylang offers an open air studio with an ocean front view. Ylang Ylang yoga classes are great for beginners, intermediates or advanced students. We encourage everyone to give it a try!
Relaxation technique number 3: The Spa. Ylang Ylang offers a number of different spa treatments with our homemade massage oils. The open air spa allows for you to hear the sounds of the waves crashing while enjoying your massage. Need I say more? There is nothing better to take your relaxing vacation to the next level.
Exercise should be a part of your everyday life. Experts recommend getting a certain amount of exercise every week. Exercise helps keep your body in shape and contributes to your overall health. Failure to exercise can lead to weight gain and other issues. In short, you have to keep moving if you want to keep moving! One of the most popular forms of exercise involves more than just exercise for the body – it also involves exercise for the mind and the soul. Yoga will not only help keep your body in shape, it will help restore balance in your life.
Here at the Ylang Ylang, we understand that even though our guests are on a vacation, they still want to keep up with their active lifestyles. That is why we offer yoga sessions on the beach. Yoga in Costa Rica is different than practicing yoga anywhere else. Here, you will savor the crisp morning air as the waves dance on the shores, providing you with nature’s music during your yoga session. Our instructors are experts in yoga. They will invigorate your mind, body and soul through the various exercises. Your body will stretch and flex while your mind is calmed and your soul is restored.
When you come to the Ylang Ylang, be sure to schedule at least one yoga session on the beach. It will be an experience you will never forget – and likely one that you will want to try again and again. Contact us today to learn more about our yoga sessions, as well as our many other guest activities.
Taking a vacation for the sole purpose of exercise may sound like an odd idea – but a trip centered on restorative activities will leave you feeling refreshed and ready to face the world! When you think of a vacation, you think of rest and relaxation. You think of spending time on your own doing exactly what you want, which in many cases is nothing. You do not think about spending your free time exercising. However, more and more people are finding the value of continuing their exercise regimen during their vacations.
When you have an established exercise routine, slacking off for any amount of time, even a vacation, can make it difficult to get back into your routine. By incorporating exercise into your vacation, you will ensure that your routine is intact – and your physical health does not diminish. Taking a vacation for the sole purpose of exercise is rising in popularity, too. The reason – experiencing your favorite exercise programs or trying a new program in an exotic location is a great motivator to encourage consistent physical activity. Take yoga in Costa Rica, for example – a yoga session at your gym simply does not have the same ambiance as a yoga session in the morning sun on the beach, with the sound of waves soothing your soul. If you are planning on taking a vacation soon, be sure to incorporate exercise into your daily routines. Your mind, body and soul will thank you when you have to return to the rat race.
