This time of year, as the rainy season is ending, the Costa Rica rivers are full and clear. The water and riverbed are clean and there is plentiful water washing through the river. River Piedra Colorada is located next to Ylang Ylang. It’s a short 5-minute walk to get to this beautiful river with large rocks, small waterfalls, and a large pool for swimming. If you walk further up the river, you will find quiet and magical spaces to explore.This special place has also become home to a number of rock sculptures that people build upon when they walk by.
