The most important aspect of choosing a location for your wedding venue in Costa Rica is figuring out what kinds of beautiful views and incredible activities you want your guests to experience.
This will help you in narrowing down your options. Do you envision yourself exchanging your vows on white sandy beaches? Do you want to spend the day dancing in Costa Rica or going on hikes through the dense vegetation of a jungle in Costa Rica? Do you feel like doing something that is a little more exciting or educational?
3 dreamy wedding venues in Costa Rica
Although we believe that there's no such thing as a terrible location when choosing your wedding venues in Costa Rica, we will share some of our favorites!
1. Arenal Volcano
Volcán Arenal, often known as Arenal Volcano, is a mountain that stands 5,357 feet tall and is located to the northwest of San Jose, the capital city of Costa Rica.
Although the volcano is already in a "dormant stage," and its most recent eruption occurred in 2010, it is still considered to be an active volcano. For the past 43 years, it has been the most active volcano in the country.
There are a number of hiking paths in the location, all of which provide breathtaking panoramas. There is also a tiny observation area nearby that is suitable for intimate weddings with only a few people.
2. La Fortuna Waterfall
Catarata Fortuna is one of the numerous waterfalls that can be found in Costa Rica. It is a 230 feet tall cascade that is located in the center of the rainforest and drops into a wonderful swimming hole.
If you wish to have a somewhat larger elopement ceremony, there is an observation deck adjacent to the parking lot that you may use.
The trip down is not that long, but it is fairly strenuous just on your way back up (over 500 stairs). It is possible to visit both the waterfall and Arenal Volcano in a single day due to their proximity to one another.
A helpful hint: La Fortuna, located in close proximity to Sloth Park, provides visitors with the opportunity to take a walk through the forests for sixty minutes and ensures sightings of sloths, especially just after it has rained.
3. Tamarindo
It's one of the most visited places in Costa Rica, and it's perfect for families traveling with children.
Because the ocean is warm throughout the year, Tamarindo offers the best waves for surfing as well as some of the most beautiful sunsets in Costa Rica. There is a good variety of restaurants to choose from, and there is also some nightlife to enjoy.
